As a Security Officer - Corrections Facility in Tulsa, OK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support orderly operations through access control, observations, report writing, and clear communication with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A Corrections Officer License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, monitoring entry and exit activity, and directing guests to appropriate departments.
  • Complete reports and logs for incidents, patrol activities, and daily operations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
