As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control for staff and visitors. You will complete routine rounds, communicate clearly, and provide customer-focused assistance while documenting observations. You will be part of a team that acts with integrity, stays agile and reliable, and brings innovative solutions to daily operations.

Requirements

Have 1+ years of security experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and public emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution location, including lobbies, ATM areas, offices, and perimeter areas, as permitted by post orders.
Monitor alarms, access control points, and surveillance systems when assigned, and report irregular activity per site procedures.
Control access for employees, visitors, and vendors using sign-in requirements, identification checks, and visitor badging per site policy.
Complete security-related reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation with clear, detailed information.
Provide directions and assistance to customers and staff, helping to reduce disruptions and/or unauthorized access in customer-facing areas.
Support opening and closing procedures when assigned, including verifying doors are secured, checking restricted areas, and reporting maintenance issues that could impact operations.
