Join Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, stay visible, respond to alarms and/or access concerns, document activity with computer or tablet tools, and deliver clear customer service and communication to tenants and visitors. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, disturbances, and suspicious activity, and notify site contacts and/or public services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance and access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management practices, including verifying identification, issuing temporary badges when directed, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions such as propped doors, damaged locks, unsecured gates, blocked exits, and malfunctioning lighting, and communicate findings to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems as assigned, which may include CCTV, access control, intercoms, and intrusion alarms, and document events per site procedures.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation with accurate details, and maintain logs for alarms, deliveries, and key control as applicable.
  • Provide assistance during tenant move-ins and move-outs, deliveries, and contractor access by coordinating with site contacts and following established procedures.
  • Enforce site rules and policies in a professional manner, including parking and after-hours access guidelines, and refer noncompliance to designated site contacts.
  • Support emergency procedures by assisting with evacuations, establishing controlled areas, and providing information to responding personnel as directed.
