Job Description As a Security Officer - Corporate Patrol in La Jolla, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout an educational campus environment. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while supporting a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post, where you will contribute to a caring culture, act with integrity, and deliver reliable service as part of a dedicated team.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual occurrences, and maintenance issues according to established procedures.
• Assist visitors, staff, and students with directions, access, and information as needed while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required by site protocols.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any potential hazards or suspicious activities to the appropriate contacts.
