As a Security Officer Corporate Insurance Site in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Financial Institutions. This Part-Time Security Officer role offers flexibility to build a schedule and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service and communication while working with an agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven team.

Requirements

  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience, or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas, document observations and/or incidents, and report concerns according to site protocols.
  • Support access control activities by verifying credentials, observing visitor and employee movement, and following established post orders and client-directed procedures.
