Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Media Desk in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading technology and innovation location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees. Your role involves greeting guests, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with visitor management processes, including logging guests and issuing badges as required.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, and/or visitors to address inquiries and provide information as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or site management.
  • Document and report security-related incidents or unusual activity according to company and client guidelines.
