As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will support access control by checking credentials, issuing badges, and guiding visitors and deliveries to the right areas. You will perform routine patrols, document security-related activity using a computer or tablet, and provide helpful customer service while remaining visible to help deter incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by a caring, agile, and integrity-led team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, associates, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at gates, entry points, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing traffic flow for inbound and outbound activity.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems, and report irregular activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading areas, and perimeter to check for policy compliance and security-related concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
