As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist shoppers and tenants with directions and concerns, document and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts and local responders. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical situations, and/or property-related concerns, and notifying appropriate parties.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall property, including common areas, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and security-related systems such as CCTV and alarm panels as assigned, and document observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns per site procedures.
- Complete routine reports and detailed incident documentation, communicate key information during shift transitions, and coordinate with site management and local responders as needed.
