As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to reports, support staff and visitors with calm communication, and document activity using site technology. Requirements

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to approved check-in areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting hazards, unsecured doors, and unusual activity and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision using approved channels.
