As an unarmed patrol officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with clear communication, helpful customer service, and timely reporting. Requirements

• A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and other urgent events, and notify site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter policy violations, theft, and unauthorized access.
• Control access to campus facilities by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or visitor authorization when required, assisting with directions, and documenting unusual activity per post orders.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift pass-downs, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
