About The Position

As a Security Officer - Concierge Desk in Fairport, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control and badging, verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear, professional communication. You will be a visible, service-focused presence who helps to deter incidents while supporting a caring, people-first culture. Requirements

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, vendors and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Staff the front desk to help manage access by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges and/or visitor passes, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing guests to the appropriate contact or area.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras and other front desk systems, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns according to site-specific protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with evacuations and/or accountability processes, and coordinating with site leadership and first responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift logs, including visitor activity, access issues, incidents and service requests, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnover.
