As a Security Officer Community Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts. Join Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location where you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding guest service. In this role, you will support a welcoming atmosphere through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while bringing a caring, reliable, and innovative approach to daily interactions with guests, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel property, including lobbies, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe on-site activity, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
  • Support hotel operations by assisting with directions, escort requests, and crowd flow during busy periods, special events, and/or guest arrivals and departures.
