About The Position

As a Security Officer - Community Patrol Driver in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and support access control and badge activity as needed. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license per AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial processing location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifications to site contacts and public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process-adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and control entry for employees, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site credentialing requirements and security-related protocols.
  • Complete shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and maintenance or hazard observations, and communicate pertinent information during post turnovers.
