About The Position

As a Security Officer - Community Gate Patrol Driver in Calabasas, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal officer at a residential community access control post, you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage entry and vendor access, and document security-related activity while providing professional customer service. You will remain visible to help reduce unwanted incidents, communicate clearly with residents and the management team, and support a caring culture built on integrity, teamwork, and innovation. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors and/or deliveries by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry at community access points by verifying identification and/or authorization, processing visitor and vendor check-in, issuing passes as directed, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Monitor cameras, intercoms, gates and other access control systems, report malfunctions, and document unusual activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting management and/or emergency services as directed and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entry points and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify maintenance or policy concerns, and document findings.
