About The Position

As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the property. You will interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and staff with inquiries and directions as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and help to deter unauthorized activities within the location.
