Job Description As a Security Officer - Commercial Property Patrol in Franklin Park, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with tenants and visitors, deliver exceptional customer service, and support access control measures. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and tenants by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal's protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unwanted behavior and report suspicious activity.
Document and report all security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences according to company and client protocols.
Collaborate with property management, tenants, and local authorities as necessary to address security-related matters.
Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations, medical situations, and other incidents as needed.
