About The Position

As a Security Officer - Commercial Property Patrol Full-Time in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. Requirements

• Experience providing customer service is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Possession of a valid security-related Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the office building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards encountered during patrols around the commercial real estate location.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding security-related concerns or incidents.
• Complete required documentation and reports for incidents and daily activities as directed by Allied Universal policies.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits, and/or verifying credentials as required by site protocols.
