About The Position
As a Security Officer - NYS Licensed Property Walker in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial property areas including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, helping to deter unauthorized entry and security-related incidents.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial response and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicating relevant observations and follow-up needs to site leadership and/or property management.
