About The Position

As a Security Officer - Command Center in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Dispatch Security Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor activity, coordinate officer response, and manage communications that help support smooth operations. You will maintain situational awareness through cameras, radio traffic, and access control systems, document security-related events, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Having customer service experience is preferred.
  • Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and radio traffic; dispatch officers and/or site resources to reported incidents and critical situations using a calm, problem-solving approach.
  • Receive and prioritize calls for service, relay clear instructions, and coordinate communications with on-site teams and authorized external responders as directed by post procedures.
  • Complete accurate shift documentation including incident reports, dispatch logs, radio logs, and system activity records; notify supervision of significant events per protocol.
  • Support site operations by tracking key control, managing vehicle and personnel entry and exit verification, and assisting with perimeter awareness through camera and system monitoring.
