Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help support a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Possess a guard card or license, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with hospital personnel and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout medical buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, assisting with access control, visitor direction, and security-related support in accordance with site requirements.
  • Support daily operations at a healthcare location by remaining visible, providing assistance during routine and urgent situations, and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious activity.
