As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to guest and staff needs with clear communication, strong customer service, and detailed reporting. Requirements

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Complete required reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and report maintenance concerns such as lighting issues, unsecured doors, and/or hazardous conditions to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support access control processes by monitoring doors, checking credentials where required, assisting with wayfinding, and maintaining a professional presence in patient care and public areas.
