As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering customer service. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
  • This position is in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, hospital-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor traffic, help manage entries and exits, and assist with wayfinding and de-escalation when needed.
  • Complete security-related logs and reports, communicate via radio and/or phone, and support hospital staff during alarms, evacuations, and other response activities.
