About The Position

As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through clear communication and customer-focused service. You will document observations, respond to requests, and work with site contacts as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting notable conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as badge-controlled doors, visitor logs, and camera views, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and/or suspicious activity, and notify the appropriate contacts as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift logs, communicate relevant updates during post handoff, and coordinate with site stakeholders and/or emergency services when required.
