You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of grounds, buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and direct visitors to appropriate locations while following location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate post updates during shift handoff, and assist with security-related checks of equipment and restricted spaces as directed.
