About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol Driver in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will conduct routine driving and walking patrols to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a visible presence. Your role involves engaging with individuals on site, responding to situations as they arise, and providing top-tier customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical or petrochemical location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential hazards.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access within the location.
Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or hazards observed during patrols.
Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed to address incidents and maintain order.
Remain alert and observant while performing duties in various working environments and conditions specific to chemical or petrochemical locations.
