About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol Driver in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will conduct routine driving and walking patrols to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a visible presence. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical or petrochemical location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access within the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or hazards observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed to address incidents and maintain order.
  • Remain alert and observant while performing duties in various working environments and conditions specific to chemical or petrochemical locations.
