About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Entry in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience are required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials and logging all visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering or exiting the premises.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access or activities within the chemical or petrochemical facility.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures to maintain security-related protocols for the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for any unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action based on Allied Universal and client site procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access and security-related procedures.
Participate in emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.
