About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Entry in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and logging all visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering or exiting the premises.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access or activities within the chemical or petrochemical facility.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures to maintain security-related protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for any unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action based on Allied Universal and client site procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access and security-related procedures.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.
