About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Driver in Axis, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas at a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with questions related to access procedures and site-specific protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the perimeter and within the location to observe for security-related concerns and report any irregularities.
  • Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with site management and emergency responders during drills and/or actual emergencies, assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and report any conditions that could impact security-related operations.
