About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, support access control procedures, and communicate with both visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points, observe for unusual activity, and report any concerns according to site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of patrols, incidents, and interactions as required by the location's policies.
