As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances and exits, manage badge access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and/or identification of individuals entering the premises.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related inquiries and procedures.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and emergency response.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site protocols.
Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during incidents and/or drills as needed.
