About The Position

As a Security Officer- Chemical Facility in Anacortes, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide responsive customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of process areas, administrative areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry points and control access for employees, contractors, and deliveries using approved verification methods and visitor protocols.
• Complete timely reports and log entries for patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and designated site representatives.
