About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrolman in Bartow, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the site.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of activity throughout the location.
  • Document and report any unusual observations or incidents according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related issues as they arise.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and protocols relevant to chemical and petrochemical environments while performing patrols and other duties.
