As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will engage with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, which may include chemical and petrochemical areas.
  • Observe for any unusual activity or conditions that may require intervention and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members during routine duties and in emergency situations.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner as per Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards unique to chemical and petrochemical environments and respond according to site-specific procedures.
