As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents, remaining visible and approachable. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter and areas associated with chemical or petrochemical operations.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, helping to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors while on patrol.
  • Follow all client-specific protocols related to chemical and petrochemical environments, including any required reporting or documentation.
