Requirements

A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within the chemical or petrochemical location.
Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering the premises to maintain compliance with site protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential hazards.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client site requirements.
Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters as needed.
