As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in facilitating security-related communications and coordinating response efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to manage radio and phone communications, dispatching patrols and support teams as needed to help to deter incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will be the central point of contact for all security-related activities, ensuring clear and timely information flow between team members. This position requires proficiency with computers and tablets, as you will monitor systems and maintain detailed records. Collaboration, customer service, and strong communication skills are essential as you work with both internal and external partners. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dispatch systems to monitor and coordinate security-related activities across the chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Document all security-related incidents, calls, and activities accurately in dispatch logs and reports.
  • Provide customer service by assisting site visitors, contractors, and employees with security-related inquiries and access procedures.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms, and promptly relay information to appropriate personnel.
  • Support the implementation of site-specific policies and emergency response activities as required by the location.
