As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in a clear and timely manner as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed during emergency response activities.
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures relevant to a chemical or petrochemical environment.
