About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Control in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directing them appropriately while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and protocols specific to chemical and petrochemical environments, including the handling of restricted areas and sensitive materials.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity, adapting to the unique conditions of the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or hazards as observed during assigned shifts.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to support security-related operations and maintain awareness of ongoing site activities.
