About The Position

As a Security Officer - Checkpoint in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit for employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes as directed, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound truck and trailer traffic by checking driver credentials, confirming appointments and/or load paperwork as required, and documenting gate activity in logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services and completing required incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of gate areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to identify unusual conditions, help to deter unauthorized activity, and report maintenance and/or access issues.
