Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Screen people, bags, packages, and/or materials entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-facing procedures, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to support access control, de-escalation, and other security-related response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around lobbies, screening areas, production spaces, and the perimeter as assigned, noting maintenance issues, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity.
- Monitor entry points, visitor processing, and credential checks, helping to deter unauthorized access while maintaining detailed logs, incident reports, and other required records.
