Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support daily site operations with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and following security-related policies for a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for people, vehicles, and deliveries, document activity in required logs and/or systems, and report unusual or unauthorized access attempts to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including perimeter areas, gates, docks, and parking areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and transport partners regarding access procedures, visitor processing, vehicle check-in requirements, and other security-related protocols.
