About The Position

As a Security Officer - Data Center Patrol in Bloomfield, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, yards, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points for employees, visitors, and drivers, including checking identification and/or credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing traffic flow for deliveries and pickups as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through required channels.
Complete detailed written reports and documentation of daily activity, patrol observations, incidents, and/or maintenance issues, and communicate key updates to site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
