As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vendor check-ins, and support inbound and outbound traffic flow. You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor logs, and verifying authorization for employees, vendors, and drivers.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing truck traffic by confirming appointments, reviewing shipping and receiving documentation as required, directing drivers to designated areas, and reporting irregularities per post orders.
  • Monitor cameras, access control systems, and alarm notifications, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility interior, exterior, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance concerns and/or security-related issues to site leadership.
