About The Position

The Security Officer - Campus Police is responsible for guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the UMMC premises. This role includes providing information, directions, and managing traffic on campus.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Valid US Driver’s License.
• MS Driver's license required post-hire within 30 days.
• FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 courses required post-hire within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas to ensure personal, building, and equipment security.
• Examines doors and windows to ensure that they are secure.
• Scrutinizes and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, unlocked security doors, and safety concerns.
• Provides information and directions to patients and visitors.
• Prepares applicable reports.
• Directs traffic and enforces motor vehicle operation and parking regulations.
