About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrols Full-Time in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting staff, students, and visitors as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus, including buildings and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activities to help to deter prohibited behavior and promote a secure environment within the educational location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with campus personnel, visitors, and law enforcement when necessary.
Document incidents and complete reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Remain alert to surroundings and report any suspicious behavior or unusual circumstances encountered during patrols.
