Job Description As a Security Officer - School Roving Patrol in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to requests, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, students, and visitors while delivering a customer-service mindset. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer Service Experience - preferred.
CPR Certification - preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an education location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and key areas for unusual conditions, complete security-related reports, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions, information, and security-related concerns, and support orderly movement during events, class changes, and/or evacuations.
