About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the education location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain awareness of the environment and report any suspicious persons, objects, or activities.
Work collaboratively with staff, students, and visitors to support a welcoming and secure atmosphere.
Document incidents and complete required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with access control and visitor management as needed at the location.
