About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the education location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain awareness of the environment and report any suspicious persons, objects, or activities.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, students, and visitors to support a welcoming and secure atmosphere.
  • Document incidents and complete required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management as needed at the location.
