Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a utilities location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance, operational, and/or security-related issues observed during patrols.
Support access control, visitor processing, and incident reporting functions while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific instructions.
