You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and providing exceptional customer service to all students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a welcoming atmosphere.
Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
Collaborate with campus staff and local law enforcement as needed to address incidents and support a secure learning environment.
Provide information and assistance to individuals on campus, including directions and responding to general inquiries.
