About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Driver in Grand Island, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at an education location as a Front Desk Security Officer, greeting students, staff, and visitors while supporting a welcoming atmosphere. You will manage access control, issue badges, monitor cameras and alarms, document incidents, and communicate clearly with campus partners. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to help reduce security-related issues.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Operate the front desk by greeting and directing guests, answering phones, and providing general information while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Control access to the facility by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and coordinating entry approvals per site-specific requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems and report irregular conditions, suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations through required communication channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document events in written reports, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and/or local responders as needed.
