About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, supporting a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related hazards within the location to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
Assist with access control, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site procedures.
Support emergency preparedness drills and participate in response activities as directed by site leadership.
Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed written reports according to Allied Universal and site guidelines.
